How it's priced
Priced after a free design survey
Every glass verandas project is designed for its site, so we don't publish a misleading ‘typical’ price.
Overview
A glass veranda is a glass roof on slim aluminium posts that covers a patio or terrace. It keeps the rain off without blocking light into the house.
Verandas can stay open or have glass side panels added. We design and price each one after a free survey.

Good to know
Attached verandas are often permitted development within size limits, and open-sided structures are often exempt from Building Regulations. Enclosing one can change that. We check at survey.
Glass in doors, low-level panes and anywhere people could walk into it must be safety glass under Building Regulations — toughened or laminated. We specify it as standard in those positions.
Every one is designed for its site, so there is no honest 'typical' price. We measure and design it at a free design survey, and you get a written quote before anything is ordered.
Questions
Every one is designed for the site, so we price a glass veranda after a free design survey rather than quote a misleading 'typical' figure. You get a written quote before anything is ordered, and nothing is built until you've approved the design.
Often not, within permitted development limits. Listed buildings, conservation areas and larger structures can need consent.
Much less than a solid roof, because the roof is glass. Solar-control glass can reduce glare on south-facing patios.

Year-round conservatories with insulated roofs and high-performance glass.
Glazed extensions designed and built by LINX, with in-house builders for openings and making good.
Solid-pillared orangeries with roof lanterns — more room than a conservatory, more light than an extension.
REHAU, SMART, AluK, Schüco, Cortizo, VELUX, FAKRO and Cambridge Skylights — and the tier each sits in.
