How it's priced

Every juliet balconies project is designed for its site, so we don't publish a misleading ‘typical’ price.
Overview
A Juliet balcony is a glass barrier fixed across a full-height opening on an upper floor, so you can open French doors or a full-height window safely and enjoy the air and view.
We fit frameless glass Juliet balconies, usually alongside new French doors or windows, and price them at survey.
Guarding across the opening on upper floors.
Barely there, so the view stays open.
Fitted at the same time as new doors.
Adds a balcony feel without a projecting structure.

Good to know
The barrier must meet Building Regulations guarding heights (typically 1,100 mm) and be fixed into sound structure, which we check at survey.
A Juliet balcony usually doesn't need planning permission, but check if your home is listed or in a conservation area.
Replacement windows and doors must meet Building Regulations for energy efficiency, safety glass, ventilation and fire escape. Each installation is certified through a competent person scheme such as FENSA, or signed off by building control, and the certificate is yours to keep for when you sell.
Questions
We price Juliet balconies at survey, usually alongside new French doors — a pair of French doors costs from £1,800–£3,000 in uPVC. Indicative, supplied and installed in London and the South East, including VAT; prices updated 11 October 2026. A survey confirms the final figure.
Typically at least 1,100 mm above floor level, fixed into sound structure.
Usually not, because nothing projects from the building. Listed buildings and conservation areas can be different.
Often, yes, if there's sound structure to fix into either side of the opening.
