Overview
Casement windows open on hinges at the side or top — the classic British window. They suit almost any house, from post-war semis to new builds.
We price them in three tiers: REHAU uPVC (Value), SMART or AluK aluminium (Contemporary) and Schüco (Engineered), for a typical 1.2 × 1.2 m window. Choose a tier below to price your own sizes in the quote builder.
Side- or top-hung sashes with lockable handles.
Combine opening and fixed panes in one frame.
Egress hinges where Building Regulations need an escape window.
The same style across three price tiers.
Trickle vents where the room needs background ventilation.

Good to know
Replacement windows and doors must meet Building Regulations for energy efficiency, safety glass, ventilation and fire escape. Each installation is certified through a competent person scheme such as FENSA, or signed off by building control, and the certificate is yours to keep for when you sell.
When windows are replaced, the room's ventilation must not be made worse. That usually means trickle vents in the new frames unless the room is ventilated another way — we confirm what's needed at survey.
If your home is listed, in a conservation area or covered by an Article 4 direction, changing the look of windows or doors may need planning permission or listed building consent. We flag this at survey and give you the product details your council will ask for.
Typically 6–8 weeks from survey to installation, agreed with you up front. One named project manager runs your job from survey to sign-off, and our own fitters do the work — we don't subcontract glazing.

A casement opens one way on side or top hinges. A tilt-and-turn tilts inwards at the top for ventilation and swings fully inwards for cleaning and escape. Tilt-and-turn costs a little more: £800–£1,300 in uPVC.
Yes. Where Building Regulations require an escape window, we fit egress hinges and size the opening to meet the rules.
Often, yes. When windows are replaced, the room's ventilation must not be made worse, which usually means trickle vents unless the room is ventilated another way. We confirm at survey.
